This home extension project involved creating a modern, functional, and stylish living space, including a brand-new kitchen, utility room, pantry, and updated living areas. The work focused on optimizing both aesthetics and practicality, with bespoke features, smart home upgrades, and high-end finishes throughout.

Kitchen Appliances and Customization
The kitchen unit included various high-end appliances and bespoke features tailored to the client’s needs.
- Built-in fridge freezer
- Separate „Brandschucker” gas cooker
- Custom-made extractor hood with hidden trash storage
- „Quooker” system for boiling water, filtered sparkling water, and drinking water
- Osmosis filtration system

We also designed and installed a hidden coffee station, complete with a built-in microwave, as part of this home extension.
Kitchen Island and Lighting Solutions
The kitchen island has become a popular trend in modern home extensions, and we delivered a spacious 2.5-meter by 1.2-meter island for the client.
Island Features:

- Space for a dishwasher
- Under-counter and plinth lighting throughout

Above the island, we installed three traditional pendant lights, and a mood lighting system was fitted where the vertical walls meet the roof. This gave the kitchen a warm and inviting atmosphere, further enhanced by LED strip lights.
Smart Home and Electrical Upgrades
The home extension featured smart switches and sockets throughout the property. In addition to kitchen lighting, we installed larger spotlights on the ceiling.
Structural Work and Flooring
To ensure a solid foundation for the home extension, we began with a 70×150 cm deep base and completed the necessary drainage work before creating a suspended concrete floor. The floor was insulated with 10 cm of PIR insulation and covered with screed.
Flooring Details:
- Wood-effect tiles in the kitchen
- Underfloor heating for efficient energy use
- Carpeting in the living room and bedrooms

Walls and Insulation
The walls were insulated with 90 mm of high-quality insulation, and black aluminum windows and doors were installed. The living room benefited from a 6.5-meter bi-fold door opening to the terrace, allowing for plenty of natural light and a seamless indoor-outdoor flow.
Additional Rooms and Features
This home extension also included the creation of multiple additional spaces, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics:
- Pantry: Positioned between the kitchen and utility room, featuring a bespoke unit and extra fridge freezer.
- Utility Room: Fully equipped with a washing machine, dryer, sink, and ample storage space.
- Living Room: Redesigned with suspended timber flooring, media center, recessed LED TV, and a bespoke TV unit.
- Children’s Room: Insulated floor, new paint, carpeting, and a relocated door.

Renovation of Existing Spaces
In addition to the home extension, we made significant renovations to the existing structure:
- Hallway: Raised the ceiling and installed spotlights. Walls were decorated with designer wallpaper.
- Bedroom: Two large built-in wardrobes from Howdens were installed, with an upgraded electrical system and new paint.
- Offices: Created two separate office spaces, one featuring classic molding and the other a simple, modern design.
